Getting data from serial sensors to a network can be the root of a commu-
nication nightmare, but Z•World’s Multi-Port Serial-to-Ethernet Application
Kit simplifies the conversion of either RS-232 or RS-485 data for commu-
nications via Ethernet. Enabling serial-to-Ethe
rnet and Ethernet-to-serial
conversion with software support for up to 6 serial ports, the kit provides
a number of sample programs, including temperature sensor and digital
volt meter examples, as well as specialized Dynamic C libraries to speed
development. As always, the included Dynamic C IDE
maximizes the
performance of the Z•World embedded
hardware. The kit includes an
RCM3700 , prototyping hardware,
temperature sensor board, Dynamic C
IDE with royalty-free TCP/IP stack, sample programs, and specialized libraries.

The Secure Embedded Web Application Kit provides optimized software
development tools to build secure web interfaces for embedded appli-
cations. In addition to prototyping hardware, and the Dynamic C IDE,
the Secure Embedded Web Application Kit includes software modules
for rapid web development (RabbitWeb), file storage (FAT), and Secure
Socket Layer (SSL) implementation. RabbitWeb enables remote reading
and writing of program variables while eliminating complex CGI pro-
gramming. The FAT module provides reliable storage for databases and
web pages. The
SSL module supports HTTPS with SSL v. 3 and Transport
Layer Security v. 1
and is royalty and license free with a digital certificate
creation utility. As always, these software modules and the Dynamic
C IDE are designed specifically to maximize the performance of our
embedded hardware.

less viable. Z-World’s Wi-Fi Application Kit helps set your embedded
equipment free. Designed to aid in implementation of the IEEE Standard
802.11b, the Wi-Fi Application Kit includes industry proven embedded
hardware, software, and communications hardware. The Kit pairs the
RCM3100 RabbitCore Microprocessor Core Module with the LinkSys
WCF12 Wi-Fi Card for a robust, wireless embedded system. The Wi-Fi
Application Kit is also compatible with Wi-Fi cards from Sandisk, Netgear,
SMC, and D-Link. The inclusion of the Dynamic C Integrated Development
Environment further reduces the implementation effort required.

With the GPRS/GSM Application Kit, you can remotely monitor and control
embedded applications from miles or even continents away. The Application
Kit enables an embedded application to connect to a GSM cellular net-
work and receive text (SMS) messages that can be interpreted as commands
enabling true remote control. Similarly, the embedded device can exchange
GPRS e-mail wirelessly with any PC, GSM device, or cellular telephone.

To realize the full potential of manufacturing and other equipment,
reliable access to data is required. The Machine-to-Machine (M2M)
Application Kit enables both wired and wireless communications allow-
ing applications to communicate via serial, through the Ethernet, or over
a GSM network. Combining GPRS/GSM communications and conven-
tional networks adds flexibility to deployed applications. In addition to
conventional networking, M2M-based applications can receive text (SMS)
messages that can be interpreted as commands enabling true remote
control. Excluding the SIM card required for cellular service, the GPRS/
GSM Application Kit contains the hardware and software needed for
embedded GPRS/GSM communications including RCM3200 RabbitCore
with 10/100Base-T Ethernet, prototyping hardware, Dual Band GSM/GPRS
